Some FAQs on the OCPJP 7 book

In this post we answer some of the questions you may have on our OCPJP7 book (Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer Exam 1z0-804 and 1z0-805, Apress, 2013). If you've any questions, please feel to post them as comments, and we'll get back to you. 

1. I came to know that this is the only book available in the market for OCPJP 7 exam - is it true? 

Yes, as on March 10, 2013 (i.e., the day in which we made this post), to our knowledge, this is the only book available in the market that's available for OCPJP 7 exam preparation. 

2. Is the book available in ebook format for kindle, ipad, etc? 

Yes, of course the book is available in ebook format (in various formats such as .epub, .pdf, etc). For instance, you can buy PDF version from of the book from Apress website. Or you can buy the ebook from Google Play and read the ebook by installing the readers in your ipad/android device/mac/pc. 

3. How can I quickly check what's inside the book before I go ahead and buy the book? 

You can perhaps preview the book from websites such as amazon, google play or books.google.com.

4. Is an Indian edition of the book available in India? How can I buy it?

No, Indian edition of the book is not released yet for our OCPJP 7 book. We expect it to be released in a few months by Apress in India. If you are planning to appear for the OCPJP 7 exam, we would suggest you to go ahead to buy and read the book instead of waiting for the Indian edition. You can buy it from Flipkart or other Indian websites.  Yes, its imported, so it costs Indian Rs 2399 (after 8%) discount, but compared to the price of the OCPJP7 exam (which is Rs 8500), it’s still a bargain. Or you can wait for a few months for Indian edition to arrive, and we don't know the price for that edition yet - but it will be much lesser than the imported edition.
